With only a year of being in full operation, Miami-based record label Version Collective has decided to head into a new avenue of adventure: after five consistent digital releases and a free compilation showcasing many scene favorites, they’re ready to celebrate their physical outfit with Australia’s mastermind B9.

This 12-inch plate cataloged as ‘VCV001’ contains heavily sought-after music specifically designed for the toughest sound systems. Ever since the Australian producer uploaded ‘Kiburu’ on his Soundcloud, the jam has been a highly requested track for release on wax. The two relatively new ‘Haribo’ and ‘Toofta Toofta’ strengthen its impact, forcing this Dubstep record to be an essential piece of weight.

The breathing space of ‘Haribo’ goes full on mystical with smashing percussion, an addictive bassline and hypnotizing atmospheres. It all converges into a serious encounter with B9’s sound of 2016, which feels like a ritual that will summon evil spirits wherever you experience it. The nasty sound bite that often appears forms the beginning of a never-ending loop. Make sure to sleep with a dream catcher!

Heavily sought-after stepper ‘Kiburu’ is one of unimaginable magnitude: its confident motion in percussion, bass weight and flow really forms the essence of B9’s class-A dub repertoire. Dark flavors in the very first bars blend in effortlessly with the peculiarly jazzy sound everyone expects to emerge. Subtle hints thru almost extra-terrestrial FX programming glue this piece together – watch those transitions.

If you’re all about wobbling sub bass, ‘Toofta Toofta’ really is the jam of choice. It unwinds smoothly with the help of lively samples (taken straight off vinyl). These very sounds swirl around a subliminal message that represents love and unity. Every listener is ultimately drenched in an original Dubstep vibe that can only be achieved by Australia’s B9, who has championed a meditative jam that will bring down the walls of Babylon righteously.
